FAQ - Pellego
Why can't I see any positions in Followit GEO?
The unit may be outside mobile coverage. If the unit has acquired a position, it will be stored and transferred as soon as there is coverage.
The unit may need to be restarted. Make sure the battery is charged. Switch the unit off using the magnet and let the unit be swicthed off for a few minutes. Start the unit again outdoors (with clear view of the sky). Confirm that you can see the location of the unit in Followit GEO. This takes between 3-5 minutes.
What do I need to check before each season?
Make sure that the unit is fully charged and perform a restart of the unit outside.
You do this by attaching the magnet on the unit while charging and then remove it when you are outside.
Make sure that you receive a position from the unit in Followit GEO before you deploy the unit on the animal.

Troubleshooting
Why does the red LED flash when I place the unit on the charging station?
If the battery is completely drained it may take a few minutes before the charge cycle begins.
For faster charging, attach the magnet and place the unit inside the marked area on the charge station with the LED facing up. The side with the serial number should be placed towards the cable. Check that the LED starts to light within 5-10 seconds. If this does not happen, try turning the unit 90 degrees on the charge station. Repeat until the LED starts to light.
Charging the unit takes about 6 hours. The LED will switch off when charging is complete.

The unit should be attached as high as possible with the Followit logo facing upwards.
Why doesn't the unit change positioning schedule after I sent a configuration?
Schedule changes will come into effect at the next time the unit sends positions to the server. For example, if the schedule is set to 1 time/day at 2 pm, the positioning schedule will change at 2 pm, provided there is GSM/GPRS coverage.

What does the radio function indicate under unit settings?
It means that you can track the radio signal from the unit with a Contact Pro RX receiver (extra accessories if you do not have GSM/GPRS coverage). If you do not use this feature, it should be turned off to save battery.
Sometimes a location on the map differs from the real location, why is that?
Mountains, buildings or dense vegetation can affect the unit's communication with the GPS satellites; this may result in an inaccurate map position. A possible solution may be to set a more frequent positioning interval to get faster updates.
Since April 7, 2019 my GPS unit has stopped working, why?
If you have an older GPS unit, this may be caused by the GPS Week Number Rollover issue. This is caused by a technical limitation in the GPS system itself and potentially affects all GPS units, regardless of manufacturer. For more information if your unit is affected, please contact us at wildlifesupport@followit.se.

- If you have denied location access, this setting may need to be cleared in the app's / browser's website settings for the specific website allow the question to be shown again.

Why do you enter the schedule change in GMT in Followit GEO?
The Followit GEO platform is used by all our customers (both national and international), and GMT facilitates international communication. By using a common reference time, it is easy to coordinate schedules and avoid misunderstandings caused by time zone differences.
This allows users to monitor objects regardless of their location in the world and easily compare positions and movements with respect to time zone differences.
